What does OG mean in Fortnite?

by Dealon Brounx

What does og status mean in for Fortnite, because I get a lot of confusion in the tweets of people. We’re gonna talk about it, so what does Fortnite og status imply. It basically implies that, you’ve been playing the game since the beginning. OG means that you were in the beginning, you were an old-school player an exceptional or your authentic. That is basically, what that is. I think that season 1 is as close as og as you can possibly get. Why do I say that? Well, like I said og meets authentic the first people, the very beginning bunch of people, that started playing the game, when it first started. Fortnite Battle Royale came out on September 26 of 2017. Fortnite season 1 started on October 25th of 2017 and you were not able to get anything to really show that you were a true og besides the battle bus banner. Then on November 8th of 2017, you got the season chop. Once again, you had to pay these things to get to prove that you were an OG. You could have gotten the Aerial assault one glider, the Aerial assault trooper skin, the renegade Raider skin and the Raiders revenge harvesting tool. Now, you can kind of prove your worth as, how much you’ve grown did a specific season. Buying a skin shows, that you started leveling up this high. It’s a little bit more of an extreme battle pass if you think about it, because battle passes are a lot easier to get them levels in the actual game. Now, I think I’m 82. It’s really hard to get level 100. Just being honest with you, getting levels in this game is not very easy. I would love to see a level 100 skin in the future for people, that get to level 100, but besides the point I’m getting off track here. Og Fortnite didn’t have anything to prove, that you were playing the game in the very beginning. There was just no way. So the most og way to tell you been playing the game in the beginning with season shop, that’s it season shops stuff are the only way to prove that you are an OG player. You have the banner, the skins glider, harvesting tool. If you did buy those things, that’s what you got. It kind of sucks, because even if you were an original player and you didn’t get any of those rewards ,that just kind of sucks.

Fortnite season 2

Fortnite season 2 started in December 14th of 2017 and I don’t think season 2 is OG. I think a lot of people, that started playing in season 2, that profess themselves as og players are gonna get very angry at me for having a different opinion to theirs. I’m just being honestŠ± I don’t think starting in December 14th of 2017 makes you an original player. I think you guys starting on September 26 of 2017 or even when the season shop first came out, that’s original to me. So, in my opinion, the definition of a Fortnite og is someone, that played the game back in season 1 or even before. When there was no cosmetics and you all ran with different colored skin defaults and it was all different.

If you were to buy an account, that had season 1 items on, it does that actually make you an OG? No, it doesn’t. Og means a lot of different things! It means the original skins, the original players. I’m glad, that we still have old players from back in season one. How drastic the game has turned now! I bet you I have friends from season one and they have told me, I never thought Fortnite Battle Royale would turn. How drastic the map changes are and how there’s vehicles now and it’s great to see!
