When was Fortnite made

When was Fortnite made? Also, I want to tell about how Fortnite went from being a zombie game to the world’s most popular battle royale. It all began in 2011 when Fortnite was shown off for the first time at the spike video game awards. The original game was definitely influenced by Gears of War and Left for Dead. Back in 2011, Fortnite was all about gathering materials, building forts, and surviving a zombie apocalypse. It’s went away completely. They did this, so they could focus on a game called Paragon, which never got out of beta and was shut down. In 2017, Fortnite decided to sell Save the World instead of giving it away for free.

So, Fortnite was released In July 2017.

You could buy it for $39 on a PC, PS4, or Xbox One, and streamers could play it early. But Save the World wasn’t enough because other battle royale games like H1Z1 and Pubg ruled by Steam. Epic wanted in on this, so in September 2017, they gave Fortnite Battle Royale away for free. There were no cool game modes besides solos at the time. The goal was to stay alive against 99 other players and be the last one standing in a 100-player battle royale. This was similar to many other battle royales at the time, but this one was a bit more cartoony and colorful than all the others.

After this game came out, it was played by over 10 million people in just two weeks.

They also added duos and squads, so you could play with friends. After each match, you would be given a random default skin. Some things from Save the World were added to the battle royale. A few weeks later, Fortnite added something called “fort nightmares.” The game got better with this Halloween-themed update. With this update, players could do things like change their skin that they couldn’t do before. They put banner icons in place. Even cosmetics, like the skull and ghoul trooper, could be bought. You even could have bought the reaper’s axe. They also put in a pumpkin launcher, which was like a rocket launcher for Halloween.

Fortnite eventually had 20 million players, so Epic Games added more skins to celebrate.

The shop for the season, then more skins. You had to reach a certain level and spend v-bucks to get the aerial assault trooper, renegade raider, raiders’ revenge, and aerial assault from the seasonal shop. Then, to keep the game going and growing, they had to keep coming up with new things, so around Christmas, season 2 came out. This season was the first time a battle pass was used. It was a big part of the game’s success. It gave players a lot of cosmetics and emotes to use inside the game.
